The Multi-spectral Phantom is the new Analist Group Drone devised for all typical Precision Farming applications: Vegetation Classification, Identification of land types, Cultivations and their health condition, Analysis and Evaluation of forest fire, Identification of unauthorized landfills, Detection of asbestos etc.

The Multi-spectral Phantom includes a ready to fly 4 engine Drone, a TETRACAM Multi-spectral Camera, an image stabilizer for multi-spectral cameras and a Remote Control. The multi-spectral images are saved on a micro SD integrated in the camera.

The Multi-spectral camera with elettronic global shutter.

The ADC Snap multi-spectral camera uses a fast electronic global shutter which shows the whole image at the same instant in time. This ensures the highest quality images free of motion, blur and other distortions. So it is possible to fly at a lower altitude and at a higher speed without losing the high image quality.


The CMOS sensor has larger pixels compared to the current standards; this ensures the best answer on the NIR (near-infrared).

Simple: image procesing software included.

The micro SD memory card is easily accessible by the user. All the multi-spectral images produced by the ADC Snap camera will be stored here.

The ADC Snap multi-spectral camera produces 1,3 Megapixel (1280×1024 pixels) images which are stored along with the metadata, such as the GPS coordinates and/or attitude information of the UAV (pitch, roll and yaw). The metadata helps users establish the ground location of each image.

Fly and take your photos. Transfer the images from the micro SD to your computer.

You can then open the images produced with PixelWrench2, the free software included with the TETRACAM multi-spectral camera.

PixelWrench2 enables you to “read” the images produced with the multi-spectral camera (which generates RAW and DCM files) it includes all features to extract vegetative vigor indexes (NDVI), in addition to other powerful processing tools in batch (multiple image processing in sequence) and a full range of multi-spectral images editing tools.

The MULTISPECTRAL Phantom can be flown from your device up to a 1,5 km distance. By installing the DJI APP you will be able to plan the flight, setting up to 16 WayPoints and monitoring all flight parameters. Automatic flight back to take off point feature.

If the Phantom and its controller are disconnected during flight, the system’s failsafe protection will activate, automatically telling the Phantom to fly back home and land safely.

It is also possible to manually set One Key Go Home to activate the automatic return home feature.

No fly zone

Safety first of all.

In order to increase flight safety and avoid accidental flights in restricted areas the new firmware for the Phantom 2 series includes a no fly zone feature.

When the Phantom is too close to a restricted area such as an airport, the system will not allow the UAV to fly. All flight functions will be disabled. You must move away from the restricted area (No Fly Zone) in order to fly.

Frequently Asked Questions.

You can fly your Phantom MULTISPECTRAL up to approximately 800/900 m. Baring in mind that the flight up takes 6m/s and the descent 2m/s. At higher altitudes, the air gets thinner, which will make control more difficult. Please note that flying above that height will bring you into airspace with manned aviation such as helicopters and planes, and can be highly dangerous. However, depending on the type of application, there are different ideal altitudes: for Land Survey flights 50 meters or slightly above is enough; for Thermographic Inspection of Photovoltaic Panels Systems, a flight between 25 and 50 meters in altitude is ideal.

It is capable of flying at a maximum speed of approximately 5m/s. The ideal speed however, depends on the type of application we use the drone for. In Photogrammetry, for example, the target is always clear and sharp footage. Theoretically the higher you fly, the faster you can go without blurry images. If you fly too near to your relief object at a high speed, there is the risk of blurry footage, which will negatively affect the quality of your Survey.

When flying in good weather conditions at a speed of approximately 5m/s the battery life is of about 25/30 mins. The battery can be changed very quickly and easily thanks to the new integrated battery compartment. It is advisable to have one or two extra batteries for vast Survey areas.

The Phantom MULTISPECTRAL is designed to be capable of carrying up a total of about 2 kilos of payload (like an action camera setup). This ready-to-fly set up has been specifically designed for immediate and efficient use. It has been tested for maximum stability and highest performance. Adding extra weight reduces flight time, stability and general efficiency.

WHAT IS THE “Return Home” Feature?

The Phantom MULTISPECTRAL Drone flies back to take off position in case of loss of control. The flight radar displays the current position of the Phantom MULTISPECTRAL in relation to the pilot. Exceeding the control range of the remote control will trigger ‘Return-to-Home’, that is if connection between the drone and the pilot is lost the Phantom MULTISPECTRAL will automatically fly back to its takeoff point and land safely.

Flying a device this small in heavy wind conditions is always going to be a challenge. The Phantom MULTISPECTRAL with GPS enabled are designed to stay in place and they will do their best to maintain a set position. In our experience, we have been able to fly in winds of up to 15 km per hour without significant degradation of control. If there is a considerable amount of wind, it will put a heavier stress and load on the motors and batteries and your flight time will most likely be adversely affected. Read the article ►
